This is the nerdy page. Here I will certainly bore some, but maybe interest others.
My bike a standard drop handlebar touring bike, purchased from Pearson's Cycles January 2012. This is the first drop handlebar I have ridden and after much anxiety about the change, I'm a convert. I have fitted a front and back rack (front rack when camping) and a bar bag. I recently also added a bike stand. The disadvantage of increasing the weight is considerably outweighed by convenience. I have also had a hub dynamo fitted for charging Garmin, phone and light.
Additional items are a rear view mirror, to keep an eye on companions and traffic dangers and a
Garmin 800 edge to assist in routing. I have also invested in an iPad for communication etc, mainly to update this Blog!
Apart from the Garmin routing with route downloads from the American cycle association, I have a complete set of their maps.
