To Ococho pass to camp in the woods. Only 54 miles but two passes to climb. Our first was the Keyes Creak Pass, climbing from 2400 to 4360 ft. This climb was followed by an immediate downhill to Mitchell at 2400 ft where we had lunch. After lunch back to climbing up to the top of Ochoco pass at 4620 ft. We camped here for the night. Up down up can seemed a little unfair, but we only have one further pass to climb on the route. The Mackenzie pass will come the day after tomorrow it is higher than both the previous at 5340 ft.
Camping with our American friends for the last time tonight( they are detouring off the route). Good evening, campfire with toasted marshmallows.

Have u ttied smores yet? Yum! And have u found sage bushes growing around there- they smell wonderful.
