Baker City to Austin Junction (only 50 miles) with yet again 2 climbs of a total of over 3000 feet. Decided to stop for the night because of lack of available accommodation on route. Surprising that only a few hundred miles from the west coast there is still so little available. Austin junction consists of one building, which is the shop, restaurant and bar combined. No showers and the toilets are all out of order, oh well, there are plenty of woods.
Saw an Osprey nest along the way today, with two young.
Also saw some Alpaca in a field and two chipmunks crossed my path on the road today
The weather a bit iffy today, with a thunderstorm around for most of the day.
Total mileage to date ( for those with an interest in such things) 4340.66.
