A hard day's ride, despite a relatively short distance of 55 miles, but this included 3428 ft of climbing and a day mostly into a headwind. We arrived in Baker city, tired, hot and unsure where the campsite was located. We stopped to ask a cyclist who introduced himself as Will, a warm shower host, he immediately offered to put us up for the night. How generous is that? Julie his partner kindly cooked a sauce and spaghetti which we gratefully accepted along with a glass of wine. The generosity of people we meet never ceases to amaze me. Photo below ofJulie and Will. Pancakes, bacon and eggs for breakfast, Wow!
