Off we go again! Only 52 miles today to Canon city. This town contains the first camp site that we reject. A dodgy trailer park, poorly maintained, with a number of barking dogs. Where's the motel? A much better idea!
Mexican meal and early to bed. A big climb tomorrow!
On parent caring duties just now, and feeling envious this morning as I read your blog. Do you feel a rush of excitement as you head toward the Rockies? I would. All that space.

DeleteSally, how much are you paying for your motels every time you stop? I am planning to do the Trans American next year but going from Pueblo to SF. The cycling seems hard but predictable it is the food and accommodation are the challenges? T of Y
ReplyDeleteYou will be on the western expressway not the transam if you go from pueblo to sf. So I can't really give you much info, but good luck with your plans.
