Day 43

80 miles to Eads, Colorado. Much cooler today 80+ and when we got caught in the rain, considerably cooler than that. The rain here seems to have very sharp edges!!
Eads similar to many towns we have passed through, not much in them and a little tatty, but the countryside is fabulous. This has changed as we have moved into Colorado, going from vast plains of wheat and cattle fields to much drier scrubland of thistles and Cacti.
Staying in a motel, ( luxury) also a little tatty, but then so are we!!
Felt a little weary on arrival and it is always a slightly better sleep in a bed added bonus room has a bath, beats begging a shower. Also helps to avoid particularly pesky flies that are around today. These actually bite, particularly around ankles and through socks. Thankfully they do not leave a itchy lump, but they are pretty unpleasant.
Nowhere to eat here( which is also not unusual) only option the local gas station which I am just about to investigate. I am sure there will be something delightful to nuke in the micro!!!
