Meeting some friendly if a little weird people, 'deliverance' has come to mind more than once. This area of Virginia towards the Kentucky border, seems a lot poorer than some of the places we have already been through. Lots of trailer homes and strange run down areas all up in the mountain.

ReplyDeleteI remember driving around rural Oklahoma, looking at all the trailer homes surrounded by extinct fridges and cars, and finding it hard to believe I was supposed to be in the richest country in the world.
Hope it cools down a bit!

Our thoughts exactly, really hard to believe we are not in a third world country. Had a bit of a storm tonight, but usually it is just as humid once the rain stops.
