Day 16

Left Draper a little late to continue to cycle through Virginia towards the western section of the Appalachian mountains. Our Swedish friend Christian pushed on further, he is young and very fit. We had quite a wet day, which was cooler. We cycled just over 60 miles to our nights rest in a bunkhouse in the grounds of a church a little way up into the mountains. Tomorrow we will head to Damascus about 30 miles through the mountains. It is supposed to be a nice town catering for hikers and cyclist. If it takes our fancy we might stop there for the night. A couple of hikers are sharing our accommodation tonight, they are walking on the Appalachian trail. We have met a few hikers on this route which can take them about 6 months to walk.
Below Kielo. A recumbent for a change?
